Course description:

The course Mental phenomena has taken place at IUC regularly from 1998. Course directors would like to think that it could be nominated as one of traditional IUC courses. The focus of the course is Michael Devitt's work on philosophy of language. His views about knowledge of language stand in a stark contrast with the dominant Chomskyan's mainstrem and have been provoking intensed debate. Some of the most active participants in the debater have been invited to the course. The second part of the course will address further issues in philosophy of mind, linked with language. The course is organised at the base of at least 30 participants in two parts: lectures and student's workshops. Due to fact that the course schedules has been highly demanding, working days continue from 10.00 - 18.00 with the lunch brake
