Course description:

Transplantation is a preferred method of renal replacement therapy. A modern treatment, especially immunosuppression is challenge for nephrologists because of frequent metabolic complications. Implementing the guidelines is a crucial for everyday clinical approach. Therefore, new guidelines for kidney transplantation and other important issues will be addressed. Transplantation in Croatia after decades of average has beet greatly improved in the recent years. New model of organ transplantation in the country has been established. As a result, in 2010, 2011 and 2012, Croatia became a worldwide leader in organ donations pmp and number of kidney, liver and heart transplantations pmp. Basic and advanced issues in transplantation organisation in Croatia will be addressed.

The Course will be integrated in the Croatian Transplantation School starting on June 20 and ending on June 22.
