Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Official messages and status updates from the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik

Inter-University Centre is actively monitoring the outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus (termed “COVID-19”)

The Croatian Institute of Public Health ( https://www.hzjz.hr/en/ ) is Inter-University Centre's official source of information about the Coronavirus. This website is updated regularly with information about the Coronavirus. The Croatian Institute of Public health has the most up-to-date information about the status of the Novel Coronavirus in Croatia.

Croatian government is introducing measures in the whole country in order to stop the spread of the virus which include closing of kindergartens, schools and universities. Social contacts should also be minimum. Similar measures are introduced in many European and world countries and travel is in most cases restricted, obliging passengers to submit themselves to 14 days quarantine upon entering Croatia or returning to their home countries.

More info about the protection can be found here: https://www.hzjz.hr/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Plakat-za-javne-prostore-B1-COVID-19.pdf

The Croatian Institute of Public health recommendation procedures in universities and colleges: https://www.hzjz.hr/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Recommendation_universities_.pdf

We recommend to course directors of our spring programmes to reschedule them for fall if possible. Please contact our Secretariat for more details.

Let’s all be responsible and do our share in stopping the spread of this virus in order to save lives and return as soon as possible to our lively academic activities.
